The optical and eyepiece housing design for the Houdini 12 mm 86° coma-correcting eyepiece has been completed.
The eyepiece will have the same 86° field of view and 19 mm eye relief with similar eyepiece comfort and flat, distortion-less field as the Houdini 20. It has a 1.25" (31.75 mm) barrel and 51 mm outer diameter. It will be close to parfocal with the Houdini 20 - depending on the height of the 1.25" adapter in your telescope's focuser.
The prototype eyepiece for field testing and validation is expected in March 2025.
